About Us
Jamie Gernert is the founder and principal designer of WYC Designs, a full-service interior design studio based in the Hannibal Square district of Winter Park, Florida, specializing in custom home design and large-scale renovation projects. The firm's work has been featured in Rue, Architectural Digest, Southern Living, Homes & Gardens, and Martha Stewart.
Jamie's path to design was anything but conventional. Before launching her own firm in 2020, she spent five years working for a custom home builder — experience that gave her a rare, ground-level understanding of construction, documentation, and how to design with construction in mind. Layered on top of that is her own experience as a custom home client, which shapes how she leads every WYC Designs project today: with an emphasis on clear communication and making clients feel truly seen throughout the process.
That dual perspective—as both builder-side collaborator and former client—sets her approach apart, allowing her to bridge design vision with real-world execution in a way that feels effortless for the homeowner.
Jamie leads a team of four out of WYC Designs' Winter Park studio and is a member of the AD PRO Directory. Outside the studio, she and her partner, Nick, are raising three young boys and enjoy taking fun family vacations.
