About Us
Did you know 140,000+ K-12 kids living in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake Counties are food insecure? These kids rely on free and reduced-price meals at school during the week but are without affordable, healthy food on Saturday and Sunday. The consequences are much more than a growling stomach. Hunger can cause many physical health problems- shortening a child’s attention span, lowering their IQ, and keeping them from making good grades.
That’s where Blessings in a Backpack can help.
Our mission is simple: we provide food on the weekends for school-aged children who might otherwise go hungry.

Race to Feed - Blessings in a Backpack - Central Florda Chapter
- Race to Feed is a competitive food packing event where teams of ten will pack up to 5,000 bags on July 25 in Winter Park.
