Free Community Education Event: Screening of "The Right to Read" Documentary with Keynote Speaker: Kareem Weaver
Please join RCF + Lift Orlando for a private screening of the documentary The Right to Read. The Right To Read shares stories of an activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide the youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. We are incredibly honored and excited to be joined by literacy advocate and change-maker, Kareem Weaver, for this event. A former educator, administrator and now the co-founder and Executive Director of FULCRUM in Oakland, CA - Kareem is an inspiring advocate that will make you think, ask yourself hard questions and likely inspire you to discover ways you can be a meaningful part of ensuring every child learns to read. We hope to see you there! Food provided by the Cafe in new Heart of West Lakes Facility.
